This image comes from the back of a plane ticket as the last itinerary of an eventual exit from Iran, found in my father’s papers. Having studied in the U.S., he returned to Iran in the wake of the revolution, but eventually was forced to flee. The title refers to a line from a letter also embroidered upon the piece.
