The Ye’s extracted from the eleven-page letter are enlarged and cut as silhouettes and made spatial through a dowel scaffolding. The relationship of the Ye’s to the lines they were written on in addition to relative distances between each Ye is kept proportional to the way they occur in the letter. This emotional yet measured graph of written strokes is a study to be produced in large numbers reflecting the scale of their occurrence in several letters.
